About Aligarh Muslim University

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is a public university located in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. Founded in 1920, it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The university is accredited with an A+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and offers a diverse range of more than 300 programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and diploma levels across various fields such as Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, Medicine, Engineering, and Management. Distance education is also available through the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE).

The admission process for AMU relies on merit-based assessments from the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Among its key offerings are popular programs in BTech, BSc, and Architecture.
