Dr B. R. Ambedkar University Delhi (also known as AUD) is a multi-campus, unitary public university in Delhi, India, that offers research, postgraduate, and undergraduate programmes in the social sciences and humanities. Dr B. R. Ambedkar University Delhi’s mission is to create mature and talented professionals who are socially conscious and who can overcome social, cultural, linguistic, and economic barriers in the search, creation, and transmission of knowledge. The University aspires to develop its students into responsible global citizens that embody bravery, humility, honesty, dedication, and integrity.

The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi founded Ambedkar University Delhi in 2007 by an Act of Legislature, and it was notified in July 2008. AUD considers it to be its mission to generate practical and efficient linkages between access to and success in university education. Mandated to place more emphasis on academic research in the social sciences and humanities, and directed by Dr Ambedkar’s dream of bridging social justice and equality with perfection, AUD considers it to be its quest to create a practical and efficient learning system.
