The College of Art is a component of the University of Delhi’s Faculty of Music and Fine Arts and was founded in 1942. College of Art, Delhi University, which is run and governed by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, provides Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Fine Arts in a variety of specialities, including Practical Art, Mural, and Visual Communication. The University of Delhi selects eligible students for admission to the programmes.

Every year, the college provides full-time four-year Bachelors in Fine Arts degrees to undergraduate students. At the very least, the candidate must have received a 50 percent aggregate on the Senior School Certification Examination. Candidates are chosen based on their performance in the university’s interview as well as their grades in the qualifying degree exams.

Every year, the institution provides a full-time two-year Master of Fine Arts degree to undergraduate students. To be eligible for the MFA programme, a candidate must have completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in the appropriate specialisation from a recognised university following 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board of education. Reserved applicants, such as OBC/SC/ST candidates, widows, children of armed personnel, and students with impairments, receive a 5% reduction in the minimum necessary marks.
