Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU)

Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) is a state-level, public collegiate university in Uttar Pradesh. Established in 2000, formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). AKTU offers UG and PG courses in Engineering and Science fields.

The university has six constituent faculties/institutions, including the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Architecture Lucknow, Centre for Advanced Studies, Faculty of Management Studies, Faculty of Pharmacy, and UP Institute of Design Noida. With over 750 affiliated colleges and institutes, AKTU offers various courses in Technology, Pharmacy, Architecture, Hotel Management, and Business Management, among others.

Admissions at AKTU are mostly entrance-based, accepting exams like CUET UG. The university also offers scholarships to its students, including merit-based and category-based options.
