Ramjas College is one of Delhi’s oldest institutions, having been founded in 1917 by Rai Kedar Nath, a prominent educationist and philanthropist. The College, which began in the modest environs of Darya Ganj in Old Delhi, now boasts a huge campus, state-of-the-art facilities, and a distinguished staff of scholars trained at major Indian and international institutions. Ramjas believes in a comprehensive approach to education that extends beyond academic achievement and practical training. Faculty, students, and support staff have access to a wide selection of courses, extracurricular activities, and technologically advanced facilities at the College. Each individual is encouraged to look beyond academic and administrative disciplines to investigate and intervene in the greater interests of the Ramjas Community, which lives on engagement and a willingness to explore new horizons. The College has constructed a particularly designed Student Activity Centre where students may have meetings, talks, and events related to academic, cultural, political, and other creative activities, as well as to conduct club and society business.

For the conduct of its operations, the extracurricular activities committee (ECAC) has a specific location within the Centre. The Centre is equipped with an LCD projection system as well as a high-quality hi-fi sound system. One of its most valuable assets is the College Library, which features an online cataloguing system that allows students to access library materials. All books are coded using special software and may be accessed from computers in the library and departments. Students and professors have had free and easy access to the Internet, allowing the college to achieve higher and more global levels of education and research.
