School of Open Learning (SOL), Delhi University

The School of Open Learning (SOL), part of the Campus of Open Learning, is a leading institution in distance education established in 1962 by the University of Delhi. The school provides a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs primarily in Arts, Humanities, and Commerce.

Infrastructure and Facilities

SOL serves a large student population, with over two hundred thousand enrolled in the academic session 2006-2007. To accommodate its growing enrollment, the school operates multiple study centers, including the South Study Center at Moti Bagh, which was developed in 1990-91. Plans are underway for the establishment of additional study centers in the Eastern and Western parts of Delhi’s National Capital Region to further enhance accessibility for students.
