AURO University, Surat, was established under the Gujarat Private University Act, 2009, and is inspired by the vision and teachings of Sri Aurobindo and the Divine Mother. Founded by the USA-based Rama family, AURO University aims to be a premier institution for integral and transformational learning for future leaders.

The university encompasses seven schools: the School of Business, School of Design, School of Hospitality Management, School of Information Technology, School of Law, School of Liberal Arts & Human Sciences, and School of Journalism & Mass Communications. It offers over 30 undergraduate and postgraduate programs and boasts a robust alumni network of over 2,200 graduates.

AURO University is recognized under the Gujarat State Private Universities Act, 2009, as well as U/S 2(F) and 22 of the UGC Act, 1956, and Regulations, 2003. It is dedicated to the integral development of students and the community, supported by state-of-the-art infrastructure, highly qualified mentors, and a vibrant campus environment.

The university has global collaborations, including a partnership with the IBM Innovation Centre of Education to enhance the B.Sc. IT program with specializations in AI, ML, Cyber Security, and Forensics, and with Marriott International for international paid internships for Hospitality students, ensuring industry readiness.

At the heart of AURO University is the Sri Aurobindo Integral Life Centre, which serves as a source of inspiration and learning, fostering the evolutionary journey of humanity through integral and transformative education.

Aligned with its vision and regulatory expectations from the Gujarat Private University Act, UGC, NAAC, and AIU, AURO University has developed international-level sports infrastructure, including facilities for cricket, basketball, volleyball, football, and various indoor sports such as carom, table tennis, chess, pool, and snooker. The university also features a gymnasium, meditation room, smart classrooms, computer labs, a language lab, a media lab, a design studio, fine arts workshops, a student activity center, and an exhibition room on the life of Sri Aurobindo.

The modern campus includes state-of-the-art boys’ and girls’ hostels, a hi-tech automated library, and high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity.
